Just a comment on the dialogue... I read quickly, and I can't stand Ren'Py's default scrolling text that's supposed to emulate typing or something. Because of this, whenever I start a new game, I first go into settings and turn the text speed up to max, so that the text just pops up. The way you present the dialog in this game - 3 words, pause, 3 words, pause, 3 words - defeats this setting and makes it annoying to play. I keep clicking to continue, and just before the (frame? scene? page?) changes, I notice more text popping up on the last one, so I have to scroll back to read it. Please put in some sort of option to bypass these pauses and just show all the text for that frame all at once.
I've seen this used in other games for emphasis once in a while, but so far, this is SOP for the entire game.
Definitely, it sometimes helps to setting a mood, but I just feel it's a bit overused in project ATMOSPHERE. It bothers me, because your 'project' looks really good otherwise.

Here's our thoughts about it from one of our dev status posts:
Release on big platforms: We often get asked whether our game will be released on big platforms such as Steam or GOG. The answer is a resounding YES, our game will definitely reach these platforms someday. But before that happens, we would like to finish the story, do some refactoring of the beginning of the game, and change a few introduction scenes for some characters.
We did not want to cut our game into seasons like many crowdfunding creators do. We understand that releasing the game on such large platforms would bring even more popularity to our game, but we value our fans and want to create something unique for them. Even if it does not bring the revenue that we could get by releasing the game in parts (season model) on a large platforms, we are committed to making something special for our fans.
Actually, with respect to shamanio, it's also the smarter financial move to wait and I believe they know that. They stand to make more money in the longer run selling the game in increments on Patreon to subscribers while developing, than they do putting the game for sale in early access (incomplete) on larger platforms simultaneously. I agree with them doing it this way as well, as it shows long term vision and evidences a smarter business acumen. You only alienate and anger those who purchase an early access game on Steam (for example). As often (99% of the time) developers will encourage subscribers on Patreon by releasing chapters in advance there, while those who've made a flat purchase on other platforms for an early access game are forced to wait.

DrMad has quit his "regular" job to make this game, he needs to eat and feed his family. Buy cloth for wife and childrens. Pays his bills (you know what electricity bills you get when your PC with 4090 GPU on board are bakes renders / animations all day and all night?).
He works on this game without dayoffs and weekends - every day. And this is rutine for all VN creators, that's why they all are burnout... Because all you have is RUN, and nothing more than RUN. If you stops you dies.
If we talk about me - i have a "regular" job(almoust 10 hours per day and 5 days of week) so i can work on our game only in my free time or weekends (sometimes its eats all of my weekends / vacations and dayoffs) and it's really hard - you know, when you need to do a work on your freetime even if its work on your game - it's still a work. And because our subs numbers are pretty low - for now i work on the game for free...
The main thing of my speech:
Small developers like us (especially when we talk about adult games) doesnt have a sponsors or something... We don't get any regular money flows from other sources than crowdfunding platform. No one pays us for our work on the game, only our loyal subs are make this game real.
Now we have Itch platform and we are try's to sell our game here - soon we will realese a new update here but firstly we need to thanks(by doing early acsess to them) our crowdfunding subs because we live on their subscriptions.
Next steps what we will do:
Rebuild the start of the game (introduction scene's for Jessy, Susan, Betty, Monica, Amy), and fix all translations problems before release our game on big platforms. We wanna fix the big mistakes we did when we start development. Adds a replay gallery. Than we will think about next move.
It can be Steam release by seasons model (this is financialy smart move - you(as dev) will get "early" money from selling parts of the game and a boost to subs that will grow your regular crowdfunding income), but we are not ready.
Just to be clear, there was nothing in my post that shows any resentment for you making as much money as you can making this game. I wish you well and hope you make as much profit as possible. If you need to be strategic to do so, then more power to you. Creativity deserves to be rewarded, and we must all make a living. I myself have purchased this game on itch and I have subbed on your Patreon page in the past as well. Your game is quality and I am happy to support it.

You need switch it by "Cheats" check box ("Harem" mode) in game preference. This thing are switch off cross route choices for girls and allow players to see all content. Every update we are work on it(it's not just off cross lines - we have special dialogs lines made special for this mode), but we recommend use it for second playthrough. It's sill under development (thats why we hide it without explanation).

Storybook - it's standalone additional content storybook (with three separate story events - which not included to the main game). Storybook was created for our high tier subscribers - for thouse players who want some more content with projectATMOSPHERE charracters...

Question: I'm playing V0.4-P1 on PC and now im on Day 20 but the Missions/Task keep repeating at Yui's house. Did I do somethign wrong, is it a bug, or is this the furthest I can play right now?

Yeap we have plans for Steam release but we want to make it as complete story. For now we don't want to slice our game for seasons and sell it separatly.
We know about proofreaders - and work on it(if you want to join fell free to DM me at Discord), but the game are big.
For release schedule - just to be clear, we are working on the game everyday (this is only one job for Dr.Mad and he do it for living without dayoffs and holiydays) our release schedule are make updates as soon as possible.
The original plan was to release 0.4-P2 in two months (November) after the previous update (which came out in September) - but sometimes life has other plans. We had a very tough period - the GPU burned out, problems with the payment system and so on... here we are (Febuary) update is almost ready but it still in development - it took more than 5 month and this is not good. But we learn this lessons and hope we will do it better next update.
P.S. In terms of how we would like to see the release schedule - it will be two to three months per update.

Ok, I have played at least a hundred different VN's from Itch, and this game surprised me. I don't easily get hooked on a story and this game just floored me with how well it was written. The animations and characters are absolutely flawless. The story is riveting and involving. This just made my top 3 favorite VN list. Superb work. I rarely pay money to support devs on here. (not due to choice but rather necessity as my financial status is not the greatest) but I will be either subbing to your patreon or at the very least paying per episode release here on itch. (Still undecided)
I know that english is not your primary language, and some of the english translations were a little rough, but not enough to drive me away or ruin my interest in the story.
My only (possible) complaints are as follows
[1:] In the early chapters of the game, there's very little face time with a few of the girls. (Amy, Betty and Maya) A few pick up later, but it seems out of the blue due to the length of time without them having any screen time.
[2:] in the chapter 2-3 transition several of the scenes seem kindof forced, as they had no real plot builup for them, they were just shoehorned in. Not enough to ruin my enjoyment, but enough to make me scratch my head a bit,
[3:] I was never interested in pursuing a relationship with Monica, and never made any choices to pursue one. However I did choose to kiss her on the cheek when she was upset about something. I saw it as more of a friendly, comforting gesture and not a romantic one, however due to that ONE choice out of several I could have made, but did not. I was railroaded into a relationship with her in chapter 3, which gave zero option to stop pursuing her. I have no desire to pursue her, but I was already several hours into the story and didn't want to start from scratch. This might be something to take into consideration for future releases. To either give a civil way to break it off for those of us that did choose the "kiss on cheek" option, but saw it as a comforting gesture and not a romantic one, or better illustrate the actual repercussions of that action when the choice is available.
other than those 3 issues, I absolutely love it so far. I did have a question though.
Is it going to have Harem options? or will pursuing multiple women end with a "bad" ending? I can see a few not being okay with harem. Mainly Yui, cause she's hella jealous lol. But With Betty/Phoebe/Amy and possibly even Alice, I could see them being okay with a Harem.
Just curious is all.

Yeap sadly English are not our main language but our team grow and we have a couple guys in team which are native speakers and them work on game script to make it smoother. Current script have more that 100k word so it's long way to make it all. We are working on it.

Well, I bought the latest version, and it won't launch on Mac like other similar apps from here do. Neither the newest version nor the one before that. Both simply say "The application “projectATMOSPHERE.app” can’t be opened."
I'm using the latest M2 OS. Has anyone else gotten it to launch on Mac?

When I attempt to open 0.3-Part 4 for Mac after download, it just says "This download cannot be opened." Thoughts?

Hi there, I payed $3 for the latest version of the game, I want to buy the storybook. I am wondering since I already bought the game do i have to pay the full price to get the storybook or do I only need to pay the extra amount. If I only have to pay the extra bit where would I go to add onto my previous purchase? thanks!

The last version of the game and Storybook are separate titles.
So it's separate purchase with full amount of price.
And as i post in reply below - Storybook was created for our high tier subscribers (20$ and higher) - for thouse players who want give us more support... It's our way to say thanks for our high tier subs.
It have way more less content than original game - just to be clear, don't be dissapointed.
Definitely going to pick this up, just need to know what the difference between pA 0.4-P1 and pA Storybook is. Thank you.

In our game was bug with "Yui's coutryhouse" loop - but we fixed it.

We know about proofreaders - and work on it(if you want to join fell free to DM me at Discord), but the game are big.
For release schedule - just to be clear, we are working on the game everyday (this is only one job for Dr.Mad and he do it for living without dayoffs and holiydays) our release schedule are make updates as soon as possible.
The original plan was to release 0.4-P2 in two months (November) after the previous update (which came out in September) - but sometimes life has other plans. We had a very tough period - the GPU burned out, problems with the payment system and so on... here we are (Febuary) update is almost ready but it still in development - it took more than 5 month and this is not good. But we learn this lessons and hope we will do it better next update.
P.S. In terms of how we would like to see the release schedule - it will be two to three months per update.

bruh, this game is fine aside from the mountain of grammatical errors and goddamn susan, is there really NO WAY to avoid her?, also what does the allow cheats option even do?

1. We are working with proofread team to fix grammatical errors.
2. Susan - yeap we know that not all players are into her and sadly for now fist event with her are not avoidoble - we will fix this in future updates, its in our backlog.
3. "Cheats" check box are enable a something like "Harem" mode, but it's sill under development (thats why we hide it without explanation what is it) - game was originally made for straight playthrough with one girl as your love interest. But we know many players in VN genre love Harem roots, for thouse players we made it. This thing are switch off cross route choices for girls and allow players to see all content. Every update we are work on it(it's not just off cross lines - it have special dialogs lines made special for this mode), but we recommend use it for second playthrough.

Ok, I have played at least a hundred different VN's from Itch, and this game surprised me. I don't easily get hooked on a story and this game just floored me with how well it was written. The animations and characters are absolutely flawless. The story is riveting and involving. This just made my top 3 favorite VN list. Superb work. I rarely pay money to support devs on here. (not due to choice but rather necessity as my financial status is not the greatest) but I will be either subbing to your patreon or at the very least paying per episode release here on itch. (Still undecided)
I know that english is not your primary language, and some of the english translations were a little rough, but not enough to drive me away or ruin my interest in the story.
My only (possible) complaints are as follows
[1:] In the early chapters of the game, there's very little face time with a few of the girls. (Amy, Betty and Maya) A few pick up later, but it seems out of the blue due to the length of time without them having any screen time.
[2:] in the chapter 2-3 transition several of the scenes seem kindof forced, as they had no real plot builup for them, they were just shoehorned in. Not enough to ruin my enjoyment, but enough to make me scratch my head a bit,
[3:] I was never interested in pursuing a relationship with Monica, and never made any choices to pursue one. However I did choose to kiss her on the cheek when she was upset about something. I saw it as more of a friendly, comforting gesture and not a romantic one, however due to that ONE choice out of several I could have made, but did not. I was railroaded into a relationship with her in chapter 3, which gave zero option to stop pursuing her. I have no desire to pursue her, but I was already several hours into the story and didn't want to start from scratch. This might be something to take into consideration for future releases. To either give a civil way to break it off for those of us that did choose the "kiss on cheek" option, but saw it as a comforting gesture and not a romantic one, or better illustrate the actual repercussions of that action when the choice is available.
other than those 3 issues, I absolutely love it so far. I did have a question though.
Is it going to have Harem options? or will pursuing multiple women end with a "bad" ending? I can see a few not being okay with harem. Mainly Yui, cause she's hella jealous lol. But With Betty/Phoebe/Amy and possibly even Alice, I could see them being okay with a Harem.
Just curious is all.

Yeap sadly English are not our main language but our team grow and we have a couple guys in team which are native speakers and them work on game script to make it smoother. Current script have more that 100k word so it's long way to make it all. We are working on it.
Btw if someone native speakers is still interesting to help our game grown we are still open for proofread team. Only thing you need is free time and passion for our game.
As far your complain points:
1) Yes, you are correct - it was made for reason Amy, Betty and Maya are side girls and they not meant to be a main stars. But we know they have many fans - so you can wait them in our next updates.

Well, I bought the latest version, and it won't launch on Mac like other similar apps from here do. Neither the newest version nor the one before that. Both simply say "The application “projectATMOSPHERE.app” can’t be opened."
I'm using the latest M2 OS. Has anyone else gotten it to launch on Mac?

Here's on itch.oi you can buy a current (last update) version - the new updates are released like separate titles and you need to buy it again (like next episode of movie or Netflix seasons).
We are indie developers and create our game by crowdfounding model.
If you wanna support the game and us(developers) than you should look to our Patreon or SubscribeStar sibscriptions(our patreons are get a new updates for subscription).
